Luggage must be lighter and Handy!

1> Luggage must be as light as possible.
2>Back back must contain less weight items.
3> Less the weight, more comfortable you will be.
4> Though carrying bulky baggages is fine from point A to point B in flight, but once you reach your destination, then it becomes a problem, so carry only the necessary things.
5> Always make sure that all the bags mut have atleast 30% space, so that gifts or suviniours could fit in later.
6> If the bags are small, they can be kept in the safe - locker, while you visit the sights.
7> Keep the back pack lighther and small as you will be always having it. While visiting from places to place, it will be easier for you to move in and out of taxies or buses.
8>If the bags are big, in some places you may have to buy or pay extra charges
9> Also your luggage will be placed over the roof, there are chances that you might loose them.
10> It is some times very easy to reach Point A to Point C, by visiting Point B, with slight plan ahead one will be avoiding 2 round trips or time and energy for next day.
11> Carry always spare bottle of water/soft drink/or your favourite juices.
12> Split your luggages into two are three different bags.
13> Keep  set of your scanned documents,Credit Card number/Helpline numbers/Embassy numbers/Friends numbers in your yahoo/hotmail/gmail accounts always,Even if you loose your belogings, you can always refer to your emails.

General tips
  1. Plan your trip properly.
  2. The return tickets must be at least 5 days before the expiry of your visa. This would be really handy in case of emergencies due to weather or some other accidents.
  3. Leave a signed copy of your passports,visa stamped sheets,your itinerary,hotel contact details either with  your relatives or friends.
  4. Do always carry few dollors worth the local currency before you land there.
  5. Try to keep your cash, wallet and passport in a secured place on arrival and through out the trip.
  6. Traveling to abroad needs a different kinds of visa, double check that you have everything correctly. Do not hesitate to call up or drop in or check the relevant information about visa and other formalities.
  7. Do keep your Travel insurance ready and do check with insurance agency about the all the pro's and cons.
  8. One should need to know about the laws and regulations of the country which they are traveling.
  9. Do take certain precautions for not becoming target of crimes.
  10. Get familiarized with the culture and clothing restrictions in certain countries.
  11. Collect the Embassy numbers and address of your Embassy in that country also.
  12. Keep at least two copies separately of all the documents one should be handy and second one in a secured place.
  13. Make sure to call up your Airlines for the luggage restrictions and what to carry, what not to carry. It is better to know this to avoid lots of fuss in airports.
  14. Do get familiarize with weather conditions of that country.
  15. Translator instrument can be handy.
  16. Collect all the emergency numbers of that country such as Police,Ambulance and Fire would be really handy.
  17. Do not talk to any strangers, try to get the guidance from Police or any similar officers around that area.
  18. Pre-arrange your pickup from the hotels or any friends.
  19. Try to keep your luggage very less.
