By now everyone knows that all is set for ace cinematographer-director Santosh's magnum piece Urumi to grace silver screens on 31st March.   This multi lingual venture to be made in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and English starring Prithviraj, Genelia, Vidya Balan, Tabu and Prabhu Deva in the lead roles, will hit 70 screens in Kerala alone.  
Well the movie Urumi is likely to be censored in Thiruvananthapuram on March 28.

Deepak Dev (Former keyboard player with A.R. Rahman) has composed music for this movie produced by August Cinema.  Vasco Da Gama is the title for English version while the Tamil version is Pathinaindham Nootrandu Uraivaal (PNU). The film is all about the murder attempt made on Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama when he came to Kerala.

The climax of Urumi was planned in a grand scale with 150 stuntmen, over 100 horses, several cameras and umpteen numbers of extras. A climax of this magnitude is something new to the Malayalam cinema where the budget of the films is quite less.

Urumi has Prithviraj, who is also co-producing this film, Prabhu Deva and Genelia in the lead roles. Santosh Sivan is directing Urumi and is also in-charge of its cinematography. He is also one of the co-producers of this film.
