Melbourne: An Australian scientist has developed a world-first fluorescent formula that makes ordinary flowers and plants appear as though they are luminescent.
Developed along with a team of local scientists, Professor Mark Tester’s special fluorescent formula is sprayed on to the flowers to make them glow.
A battery pack is also needed for the flowers to fluoresce.
“They look like a galaxy of stars. They look like glistening jewels,” the Herald Sun quoted Prof Tester as saying
The brand, Galassia Flowers, was developed and made in South Australia under the funding of Glenelg-based Bioconst.
Prof Tester said the spray and battery packs would be distributed to florists who express interest in selling them.
He said the spray bottle would retail for about 20 dollars and would “do 200 flowers”.
