Landslide Blocks Movement Of Konkan Railway Trains On West Coast |

Heavy rainfall along the west coast has triggered massive landslides, leading to at least 11 trains being cancelled and diversion of three others. Several trains from Delhi and Mumbai have been stranded midway due to the landslide. The Karwar Express from Mumbai to Goa, the Kerala Express from New Delhi to Kochi, the Ajmer-Arnakullam Express and the Matsyagandha Express are among the trains that are not moving. Railway officials also confirmed that that the CST-Madgaon Mandovi Express; Madgaon-CST Mandovi Express; Madgaon-Sawantwadi Passenger Train; CST-Madgaon Jan Shatabdi Express; Madgaon-CST Jan Shatabdi Express; LT Terminus Mumbai-Mangalore Matsyagandha Express; Mangalore-LT Terminus Mumbai Matsyagandha Express; Madgaon-CST Konkankanya Express; Ernakulam-Jaipur Express; Ernakulam-Madgaon Express and LT Terminus Mumbai-Kochuveli Garib Rath Express have been cancelled. Three trains -- Tirunelveli-Hapa Express; Hazrat Nizamuddin-Trivandrum Rajdhani Express and Amritsar-Kochuveli Express -- have been diverted. (ANI) |
