Beijing: Chinese technology firm Foxconn has reportedly confirmed that it will employ a million robots over the next three years to replace human labour.
"Large numbers of robots will inevitably replace some humans in the short term. Robots are more accurate and adaptive than workers," The China Daily quoted Professor Xie Gang, as saying.
The move comes in the wake of Foxconn being under the scanner over its employees committing suicide due to unbearable work pressure.
Shanxi Federation of Industrial Economics vice chairperson said that Foxconn needs to invest in robots to prevent these suicides. (ANI)
